House T
Taman Tun Dr Ismail | Concept
This project is a refurbishment of a corner house for a small family seeking a comfortable and serene home for their retirement. The design reimagines the house as a composition of three pavilions — living, dining & kitchen, and sleeping — arranged around a central courtyard.
The courtyard acts as the heart of the house, not only spatially but experientially. Serving as a fourth, open-air pavilion, it encourages natural cross-ventilation throughout the home and provides a calm, shaded retreat. A water feature within the courtyard enhances the sensory quality of daily life, offering sound, movement, and visual relief as the residents move between pavilions.
We envision meaningful architectural intervention that embraces openness, nature, and aging-in-place with quiet dignity.
